Tarsus SEV Middle School Student Council is established to improve student self-confidence and leadership skills. 
 
 
 
The objective of this team of students is to experience the applications of democracy in an academic setting. The students follow all steps of the democratic process. The elections of the Student Council teaches students about taking responsibility from a very early age. It also allows students to take an active part in school life. 
 
 
 
Through the Council, students make their ideas heard and work towards their implementation. The Student Council is comprised of a president and class representatives elected by grade 5-8 students. The Council prepares a yearly working plan in line with the by-laws of the Council. The objectives of the working program are to optimize the academic environment, to improve productivity, to solve student problems and to organize social activities. The Council is supervised by a teacher advisor who is elected at the General Faculty Meeting
